Fundraising Events
Fundraising events help support Child Autism UK and spread the word about our vital work.
Support us through a fundraising event
Events are a fantastic way to raise awareness of autism and make fundraising a more social experience. From grannies to gal pals, drinking buddies to dads, the more people involved the better!
Looking for ideas? Take inspiration from some of our supporters by following us on Facebook. From simple and free activities to challenges worthy of superheroes, there’s something for everyone.
Find out how you can get involved via our Just Giving page.
What type of fundraiser are you?
Here are some words of wisdom from our fundraising officer:
There are three types of fundraisers. Which are you? Let me explain:
Some people know exactly what they’d like to do to raise funds for Child Autism UK. This might be something they’ve dreamt of doing for some time or a goal they’ve wanted to achieve. We can help provide them with the kit they need and share their story with our Facebook followers. Photos of proud supporters with their medals or weary but jubilant runners crossing the finishing line are always welcome too!
Some people want to support us but are after some inspiration. If you’re looking for some ideas visit our Facebook page or email [email protected] and arrange a call with a member of our team to brainstorm it together. We can also advise on everything from which fundraising platforms to use to spreading the word on social media.
A third type of fundraiser is the social fundraiser. Running a marathon solo isn’t for them. They might prefer to take part in an event with friends and family, organise a bakesale, or set up a sports team. Whatever you do, your efforts make you champs to us!
The beauty of a smaller charity is that we keep it personal. We really enjoy chatting with and receiving emails and photos from our lovely supporters. We appreciate each and every person who supports the families we work with. And please be assured that every pound raised counts!
