This introduction to autism is suitable for all teachers.

  • Information on the triad of impairments, excesses and deficits
  • Outline of approaches to autism treatment
  • Hints and tips on managing the child with autism in the classroom

The course includes illustrations based on real cases of how autism affects individuals, for example:

  • Literal thinking
  • Difficulties in social situations
  • Difficulty in making friends and understanding emotions
